Shelter Veterinarian

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. MARL provides care and second chances to over 1,200 dogs and cats annually. We truly are a “different breed of shelter” and we are always looking for hard-working, compassionate and motivated individuals to join our pack! The Shelter Veterinarian is responsible for the veterinary care of dogs and cats in our shelter. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • wellness exams
  • spays and neuters
  • dental cleanings and extractions
  • diagnosing and treating illness
  • soft tissue surgery
  • humane euthanasia.

Requirements:

  • Michigan State Veterinary License
  • Must hold or be eligible to hold a State Controlled Substance License and DEA License.
  • Shelter experience preferred but not required
