As most of you know, MARL has a wonderful office cat named Zeek.

Zeek came to us in April 2016 after being found alone outside. We could tell that he was used to humans because he marched right into the shelter and proceeded to make instant friends with everyone!

Shortly after arrival, Zeek was diagnosed with diabetes. He requires two daily insulin shots and a special diet. He is a very good boy for his shots and hardly even notices!

After a routine check up, our veterinarian advised us that it would be best for Zeek to receive his insulin doses exactly 12 hours apart, something that would not be possible for our medical staff due to our limited hours.

Because of this, a technician at the veterinary office volunteered to foster Zeek! While we miss having Zeek in the office, we are beyond excited that he has the opportunity to enjoy life in a home… our wish for every MARL animal.

Way to go, Zeek!
